Veneer hot press from China

Veneer hot presses are sold by tonnes, but the glue line feels force divided by platen area, so a bigger platen on the same cylinders presses each square millimetre less.

What hides inside the price

Force against platen area

Divide rated force by the platen area. Then check it against the pressure your glue supplier asks for on your veneer and board.

Daylights

Each opening presses one panel stack. More daylights raise output per cycle but take longer to load.

Heating: electric, thermal oil or steam

Thermal oil needs its own heater circuit; steam needs a boiler. Ask the platen temperature spread.

Cylinders and platen thickness

Cylinder count and bore set the force. A thin platen bends between cylinders and leaves weak spots.

Loading

Manual loading or a loader. Loading time often sets real output more than the cycle.

Send these with the enquiry. Without them, any number a factory gives you is a guess dressed as a quotation.

Largest panel, and board: MDF, particleboard or plywood.
Face: natural veneer, reconstituted veneer or laminate.
Glue with its pressure, temperature and time.
Panels per shift, which sets daylights.
Heat source on site.

Measure platen temperature at centre and corners on every daylight.	All points inside the offer's stated spread, logged in the FAT report.
Press your veneer on your board with your glue.	No bubbles, bleed-through or loose areas on any counted panel.
Read the hydraulic gauge at full load.	Reading converts to the rated force within the offer's tolerance.

Your parts are routed, curved or profiled fronts.

A membrane press. Flat platens cannot wrap an edge.

You make plywood from core veneers in volume.

A plywood line with cold pre-press and multi-daylight hot press.
