Membrane press machine from China

A membrane press wraps foil or veneer over routed fronts, and vacuum alone can never press harder than the air around it, so deep profiles need positive pressure that cheap presses omit.

Two quotes, one machine name

What hides inside the price

Vacuum only or vacuum plus positive pressure

Vacuum pulls the membrane down with, at most, atmospheric pressure. Positive pressure pushes from above as well and forms deeper edges. Ask for both figures.

Silicone membrane or membraneless

A silicone membrane lets you press veneer and thin foils. Membraneless mode presses PVC foil directly. Ask which modes it runs and the spare membrane price.

Heating: infrared or oil-heated plate

Foil must reach forming temperature evenly. Ask the method and the spread across the table.

Pin table and part lifting

Pins hold parts off the table so foil wraps the edge. Ask maximum part height.

Part types: cabinet doors, profiles, curved panels, and the deepest routed edge.
Foil type and thickness, PVC, PETG or veneer, and whether you need high gloss.
Largest part and how many parts per table load.
Glue system for the foil and its activation temperature.

The one people forget. The membrane specification, so you can buy a replacement that fits and survives the same temperature.

You laminate flat boards with veneer or high-pressure laminate.

A veneer hot press. Flat hydraulic platens press flat panels harder and faster.

You only band the edges of flat panels.

An edge banding machine. Wrapping a whole face to cover one edge wastes foil.
