Two quotes, one machine name

What hides inside the price

Wet water curtain or dry filter

Water curtain booths wash overspray into a tank that leaves sludge and dirty water. Dry booths need filter changes. Price the running side too.

Fans against open face

Divide stated airflow by open face area. That face velocity decides whether mist reaches the operator.

Motors and lighting in the spray zone

Solvent lacquer can form an explosive atmosphere in the booth. Ask what ATEX 2014/34/EU marking the fans, motors and lights carry.

Exhaust stack and emissions

Solvent vapour still leaves the stack. Emission permits are the operator's matter; ask what treatment is fitted.

Before you ask for a price.

Send these with the enquiry. Without them, any number a factory gives you is a guess dressed as a quotation.

Largest piece you spray, such as a wardrobe side.
Coating: water-based, solvent PU or NC lacquer, and daily volume.
Room size and where the stack can exit.
Supply voltage, and drainage for a wet booth.
Your permit position for solvent use.

Spray a test panel with your coating at production rate.	No mist drifting out of the face and no overspray on the panel.

EU Declaration of Conformity under 2006/42/EC until 19 January 2027, then Regulation (EU) 2023/1230.
ATEX 2014/34/EU declarations for fans, motors and lights used in the spray zone.

The one people forget. The fire authority or insurer often asks for the booth layout and fire plan before the first coat.
