Automatic fabric cutting machine from China

The name automatic fabric cutting machine covers a single-ply digital knife table for samples and a multi-ply cutter for a production cutting room, and listings rarely say which one you are being offered or how many plies it cuts cleanly.

Written and listings checked 30 September 2026. Every figure on this page names its source.

Automatic fabric cutting machine

01

What you are actually comparing.

Two quotes, one machine name

What hides inside the price
01

Single-ply or multi-ply

Digital tables with a drag or oscillating knife cut one or a few plies. Production cutters cut a compressed stack under vacuum. The price gap between the two is the machine you are really choosing.

02

Compressed cutting height

The maximum stack height after vacuum decides plies per lay. Ask for it in millimetres for your fabric, not for foam or felt.

03

Knife type and sharpening

Oscillating, drag and rotary blades suit different fabrics. Ask how the blade is sharpened during the cut and what a blade costs per shift.

04

Vacuum and conveyor

Vacuum power holds the stack still; a conveyor table lets the next lay move in while pieces are taken off. Weak vacuum shows as pieces that grow from top to bottom ply.

05

Nesting and file formats

Ask which marker formats the software imports from your pattern system and whether nesting is included or a paid licence.

02

Before you ask for a price.

Send these with the enquiry. Without them, any number a factory gives you is a guess dressed as a quotation.

03

Turn the claim into a demonstration.

Require thisA pass looks like
Cut your marker on a full stack of your fabric at the ply count you use.Top and bottom ply pieces measured and inside your size tolerance, with no fused or frayed edges on synthetics.
Cut small parts, notches and drill marks from your pattern.Every notch present and correctly placed on the bottom ply, with no pieces dragged out of position.
Import a marker file from your own pattern system. The file opens and cuts without re-drawing, and cutting time per lay is recorded.

04

The documents that must arrive with it.

The one people forget. The software licence and its transfer terms. A cutter whose nesting stops on a new PC is a stopped cutting room.

05

When this is the wrong machine.

Buy something else if

Named, not hedged
01

You cut single plies of synthetic fabric where sealed edges help.

A fabric laser cutting machine, which seals polyester and nylon edges as it cuts.

02

You cut a few lays a day by hand and your bottleneck is laying fabric.

A fabric spreading machine first; a cutter waits on lays that are not ready.

06

Where the numbers come from.

We name the kind of source, how many and when, and never the factory. Listed prices are asking prices, not landed cost. Where we do not hold a fact we say so: that is a GAP, not an estimate.

Straight answers

Questions buyers ask about this machine.

Chinese vs European automatic fabric cutting machine: what changes?+

Compressed cutting height, vacuum, knife control and software. Used European cutting room machines are traded; compare them against new Chinese tables on the same stack.

What should an automatic fabric cutting machine factory audit look at?+

A machine cutting multi-ply lays on the floor, the software source and licence, and a spares store for blades and bristle blocks.

What EU compliance applies to an automatic fabric cutter?+

Machinery rules, low voltage and EMC. Ask how the moving knife head is guarded and see it in the risk assessment.

Who is the EU importer of a fabric cutter bought direct?+

You, if your company brings it onto the EU market. Your name goes on the machine or its documents and you check the conformity file.
