Rubber molding press from China

A rubber press is quoted by tonnage, but rubber parts fail on cure, so platen temperature spread and trapped air matter more than force, and more tonnes will not fix either.

What hides inside the price

Platen size, layers and pressure

Divide force by platen area. One listing paired 25 tonnes with a 350 x 350 mm platen, about 20 kg per square cm. Count layers too: two layers double moulds per cycle.

Heating and temperature spread

Electric, thermal oil or steam. Ask the heater zones per platen and the measured spread across it.

Vacuum

A vacuum chamber pulls air out before closing, for seals with no porosity. Two of thirty listings offered it.

Loading and demoulding

Push-pull or sliding platens bring the mould out to the operator. Ask cycle time for loading, not only cure.

Frame type

Four-column and frame presses differ in rigidity and access. Five listings were small laboratory sample presses.

Cure temperature and time from your compound supplier.
Mould size, cavities and the closed height.
Cycles per shift and number of moulds.
Heating medium available on site and your power supply.
