Plastic sheet extrusion line from China

A sheet line is quoted by its extruder, yet even thickness comes from the flat die, the roll stack and thickness control after it, and those decide whether your sheet thermoforms without thin spots.

Two quotes, one machine name

What hides inside the price

Die width and deckles

The flat die sets the widest sheet; deckles narrow it. Ask trim loss at your width.

Roll stack

Polished rolls cool and size the sheet. Ask roll finish and whether each roll has its own temperature control.

Polymer and drying

PET and PLA take up moisture and need a dryer or a vented twin screw. Six of thirty listings named them. PP and PS lines often have neither.

Layers

Co-extruded sheet needs a second extruder and a feedblock. Ask the layer structure and share each extruder supplies.

Thickness control

Ask whether an online gauge is fitted and whether it adjusts the die automatically.

Sheet width and thickness range.
Layer structure, if more than one.
Output in kilograms per hour at your main thickness.
Winder or cutter and stacker, and whether the sheet is for food packaging.

Run your recipe to steady state, then weigh sheet over a timed hour.	Output matches the offer at your thickness.
Measure thickness at several points across the width.	Every point inside the tolerance agreed before the run.
Thermoform the sheet on your own forming tool.	Formed parts show no thin spots, streaks or webbing.

EU Declaration of Conformity for the line under 2006/42/EC, or Regulation (EU) 2023/1230 from 20 January 2027.
Standards list, including the EN 1114 series.
Roll and die drawings with surface specification.

The one people forget. Food-contact paperwork for the sheet. Regulation (EU) 10/2011 governs plastic sheet for food packaging, and customers will ask for migration tests on it.

Your product is bag or wrapping film.

A film blowing machine; thin film is not made on a roll stack.

You need a few tonnes of sheet a year for your own forming.

Buy sheet from a producer until volumes pay for a line.
