Die and calibrators per profile
Each cross-section needs its own die and calibration blocks. Ask which profiles are in the price and the cost of each further set.
No DramaBuyer guide · Plastics & molding
On a profile line the die and calibrators are cut for one cross-section, so the buyer is really buying tooling, and a quote without the die for your profile has no real price yet.

Each cross-section needs its own die and calibration blocks. Ask which profiles are in the price and the cost of each further set.
Rigid PVC dry blend usually runs on a conical twin screw. Foamed WPC with wood flour needs venting and a screw built for it. Eleven of thirty listings named WPC.
Vacuum and cooling length set line speed. Ask the table length.
Ask haul-off grip, cut-length accuracy and dust extraction.
Soft seals, cap layers, foil lamination or punching need extra units. Ask which appear in the quote.

Send these with the enquiry. Without them, any number a factory gives you is a guess dressed as a quotation.

| Run your profile through your die in your compound to steady state for a timed hour. | Metres and kilograms per hour match the offer for that profile. |
| Measure the cross-section at several points on cut lengths. | Every wall and outer dimension inside your drawing tolerance. |
| Send samples to a laboratory for the tests your profile standard sets. | Results inside that standard, such as EN 12608-1 for PVC-U window profiles. |

We name the kind of source, how many and when, and never the factory. Listed prices are asking prices, not landed cost. Where we do not hold a fact we say so: that is a GAP, not an estimate.

Every machine we source in this area is on the Plastics & molding page. How a project runs, stage by stage, is on how it works, and what it costs is on pricing.
Straight answers
One with dies and calibrators proven on your profile and an extruder suited to your compound.
Compare tooling proof on your drawing. For demanding window systems, quote a used European line too.
Whether dies are designed and cut in-house, how calibrators are tested, and a completed trial record for a recent profile.
No. The line needs its Declaration of Conformity; the profile is assessed against its own product standard.
