In Chinese listings, granulator can mean a knife mill that cuts scrap into regrind or an extrusion line that melts it into pellets, so the first risk is being quoted the wrong machine.

A small, slow granulator next to a molding machine takes sprues and runners straight back into the hopper. A central granulator handles rejects from many machines at higher speed and more noise.
Regrind with too much dust melts unevenly when mixed back with virgin material. Ask about rotor speed, knife gap setting and whether a dust separator is offered.
If you change color or polymer often, ask how the chamber opens and how long a full clean takes.

Send these with the enquiry. Without them, any number a factory gives you is a guess dressed as a quotation.

| Granulate a timed batch of your sprues or rejects. | Hourly weight meets the offer, with no bridging in the hopper. |
| Sieve the regrind. | Dust fraction at or below the level agreed before the test. |
| Open, clean and close the chamber. | A full clean done within the time stated in the offer. |

A plastic pelletizing machine.
An industrial plastic shredder ahead of the granulator.

We name the kind of source, how many and when, and never the factory. Listed prices are asking prices, not landed cost. Where we do not hold a fact we say so: that is a GAP, not an estimate.

Every machine we source in this area is on the Plastics & molding page. How a project runs, stage by stage, is on how it works, and what it costs is on pricing.
Straight answers
For regrind, a knife mill sized to your scrap with low dust and quick cleaning. Confirm it is not a pelletizing line.
For beside-the-press use on standard polymers, often not. For glass-filled grades and frequent color changes, compare knife steel and cleaning access.
Knife gap, rotor balance, chamber interlock, hopper guarding, noise, and a timed run on your scrap.
A Declaration of Conformity with its serial number, a manual in your language and the risk assessment behind it.
