Rotor and blade style
Flat blades suit sheet and film. Claw blades bite into thick-walled parts and lumps. Staggered or V-shaped rotors cut hollow parts such as bottles and drums with less shock. Ask which style is quoted.

A plastic crusher is a fast knife rotor behind a screen, and the rotor style that suits bottles chokes on thick lumps, so the quote only means something once your scrap is on the table.

The feed throat decides the largest part that goes in whole. Long pipe and profile need a side or tangential feed.
In bottle washing lines, water is added in the chamber to pre-wash and cool. That needs sealed bearings and stainless parts where water runs.
Ask for blade steel grade, how many regrinds a blade allows, and the screen hole size range you can fit.

Send these with the enquiry. Without them, any number a factory gives you is a guess dressed as a quotation.

| Crush a timed batch of your scrap at target rate. | Throughput per hour meets the offer without jamming. |
| Sieve the output. | Flake size matches the screen, with fines below the level agreed. |
| Try to open the cutting chamber while the rotor runs down. | The chamber stays locked until the rotor has stopped, and blades show no damage. |

We name the kind of source, how many and when, and never the factory. Listed prices are asking prices, not landed cost. Where we do not hold a fact we say so: that is a GAP, not an estimate.

Every machine we source in this area is on the Plastics & molding page. How a project runs, stage by stage, is on how it works, and what it costs is on pricing.
