Rate per cavity on your bottle
Divide stated hourly output by cavity count, then ask the supplier to restate it for your volume and preform weight. A 2 liter bottle cycles slower than a 500 ml one.

The bottles-per-hour figure on a PET blower is measured on a light, small water bottle, and your bottle's volume, preform weight and fill type decide the rate you will get.

01
Divide stated hourly output by cavity count, then ask the supplier to restate it for your volume and preform weight. A 2 liter bottle cycles slower than a 500 ml one.
Ask how many lamp zones the oven has, whether each is set separately, and how preforms rotate while heating. Uneven heating shows as thin shoulders and cloudy bases.
Stretch blowing needs a high-pressure compressor, air dryer and receiver. Many quotes stop at the machine. Ask for air use per cycle and whether the compressor is in the price.
A semi-automatic unit needs an operator to load preforms and unload bottles. A fully automatic line feeds preforms from a hopper to a conveyor. Labor and hygiene differ.
Each bottle shape needs its own mold set. Ask for the mold material, the price per extra shape, and the changeover time.
02
Send these with the enquiry. Without them, any number a factory gives you is a guess dressed as a quotation.

| Blow your bottle from your preform for a counted one-hour run at the offered rate. | Hourly count matches the offer for your bottle, with rejects counted and logged on a signed sheet. |
| Cut sample bottles and measure wall thickness at shoulder, body and base. | Every section inside the thickness range agreed in writing before the test. |
| Top-load and, for carbonated bottles, burst-test samples from the start and end of the run. | All samples meet the load and pressure values in your bottle specification. |

An extrusion blow molding machine, which forms the container from a hot tube of plastic instead of a PET preform.
Buy blown bottles from a regional converter until volume justifies owning the step.

We name the kind of source, how many and when, and never the factory. Listed prices are asking prices, not landed cost. Where we do not hold a fact we say so: that is a GAP, not an estimate.
07
Every machine we source in this area is on the Plastics & molding page. How a project runs, stage by stage, is on how it works, and what it costs is on pricing.

The one that makes your bottle at your rate, inside your thickness specification. Compare rate per cavity and the air package before price.
For high-speed lines running light water bottles all year, get a quote for a used European rotary blower with service history too. For moderate volumes and several shapes, a Chinese linear machine is often enough.
Oven zone control, stretch rod alignment, air leaks at full pressure, guard interlocks, and a counted run on your preform with bottles cut and measured.
Buying directly from a Chinese supplier usually makes you the importer: your name and address go on the machine or its papers, and you confirm the Declaration of Conformity matches the serial number. The bottles are food contact material under Regulation (EC) 1935/2004 and Regulation (EU) 10/2011.
