Continuous head or accumulator head
Small bottles are made from a parison extruded without stopping. Drums and large tanks need an accumulator head that pushes a heavy parison out in one stroke. Ask which one the quote is for.
No DramaBuyer guide · Plastics & molding
An extrusion blow molding machine lives or dies on how evenly it lays plastic around your container, and that depends on the head and parison control far more than on the frame the quote shows.

Programming the parison thickness along its length puts material where the container needs strength, such as corners and handles. Ask how many control points the controller has, or whether it has none.
A single station makes one set of parts per cycle; a double station alternates two molds so one cools while the other forms. Output roughly follows the station and cavity count.
Fuel, agrochemical and some food containers need a co-extruded barrier or a see-through view stripe. That means extra extruders on the head, not a setting.
Every container comes out with flash at neck and base. Ask whether trimming, flash return and an inline leak tester are in the price or left to your operators.
02
Send these with the enquiry. Without them, any number a factory gives you is a guess dressed as a quotation.

| Require this | A pass looks like |
|---|---|
| Run your mold, or one of similar size, for a counted hour. | Output and container weight stay inside the values written in the offer, with rejects counted. |
| Cut containers and measure wall thickness at the handle, corners and base. | No point below the minimum wall on your drawing. |
| Leak-test and drop-test containers from the counted run. | Every tested container passes your filling line's leak and drop criteria. |

A PET bottle blowing machine, which stretch-blows preforms and gives clarity and strength an extrusion parison does not.
A rotational molding machine, where molds cost less and wall thickness at corners is easier to keep.
06
We name the kind of source, how many and when, and never the factory. Listed prices are asking prices, not landed cost. Where we do not hold a fact we say so: that is a GAP, not an estimate.
07
Every machine we source in this area is on the Plastics & molding page. How a project runs, stage by stage, is on how it works, and what it costs is on pricing.
Straight answers
One whose head type, station count and parison control match your container and volume. A machine that makes 5 liter jerrycans well can struggle on a 25 liter drum.
Start from the container drawing and resin, not a catalogue. Send them to several suppliers and compare which head and control each one proposes, then compare cost.
Whether heads and molds are machined in-house, how parison programs are written and tested, and whether each machine runs a real mold before it ships.
A Declaration of Conformity with the serial number, the technical file behind it and a manual in your language. The mark on a brochure is not evidence.
