The name covers three machines, a small oscillating sizer, a roller compactor and a high shear mixer, and quotes often put one type against another as if they did the same job.

An oscillating granulator pushes a formed wet mass or dried lumps through a screen. A roller compactor makes granules from dry powder. A high shear mixer forms them with liquid binder.
One oscillating listing sold a painted frame as YK160 and stainless steel as YK160A. Read the letter.
On a compactor, ask whether roll gap floats with feed while force stays set, and whether force is logged.
Ask which screen sizes come in the box, and how fines are returned to the feed.
Dry granulation is dusty. Ask how feed, rolls and mill are enclosed and extracted.
