Pharmaceutical cartoning machine from China

For a licensed medicine the carton holds the leaflet, the unique identifier and the tamper seal, so a pharmaceutical cartoner is bought on whether it proves every carton is complete.

Written and listings checked 30 September 2026. Every figure on this page names its source.

01

What you are actually comparing.

Two quotes, one machine name

What hides inside the price
01

Leaflet folding and presence check

What matters is a sensor that finds a missing leaflet and rejects that carton.

02

Serialisation station

The unique identifier is printed and read on the line, often by another vendor's printer and camera. Ask who integrates and supports them.

03

Anti-tampering device

Ask whether the seal labeller is in the quote.

04

Braille

Directive 2001/83/EC requires the name in Braille. Printed by the carton maker, or embossed by the machine?

05

Reject confirmation

A sensor confirms each reject reached the locked bin.

02

Decode the model code.

The number often is the top rated speed in cartons a minute. Two 120-class listings started their range at 30 and 35. Ask where in that range your leaflet and code check run.

  • 30 / 120 = 0.25: the lowest stated speed is a quarter of the model number.
  • 120 x 60 = 7,200 cartons an hour at the top of the range, before rejects.

03

Before you ask for a price.

Send these with the enquiry. Without them, any number a factory gives you is a guess dressed as a quotation.

04

Turn the claim into a demonstration.

Require thisA pass looks like
Remove leaflets from the feed on purpose during a run.Every carton without a leaflet is rejected and counted.
Damage a printed code on purpose. The camera rejects the carton and the event is logged with a time.
Count the reject bin after the run.The count on screen matches the cartons in the locked bin.

05

The documents that must arrive with it.

The one people forget. The computerised system file: software version, user levels, audit trail. Inspectors ask for it under EU GMP Annex 11.

When this is the wrong machine.

Buy something else if

Named, not hedged
01

You sell food supplements, not licensed medicines.

A standard cartoner with a coder. Supplements fall under Directive 2002/46/EC.

02

You pack small clinical or multi-language batches.

A semi-automatic cartoner and an offline serialisation station.

07

Where the numbers come from.

We name the kind of source, how many and when, and never the factory. Listed prices are asking prices, not landed cost. Where we do not hold a fact we say so: that is a GAP, not an estimate.

08

Related machines.

Every machine we source in this area is on the Pharma & supplements page. How a project runs, stage by stage, is on how it works, and what it costs is on pricing.

Straight answers

Questions buyers ask about this machine.

Chinese vs European pharmaceutical cartoning machine?+

The gap is usually qualification paperwork and serialisation integration. Ask for executed IQ/OQ from an earlier delivery, client name removed.

Is a Chinese pharmaceutical cartoning machine GMP compliant?+

No machine is. EU GMP (EudraLex Volume 4) binds the licensed manufacturer, who qualifies the machine. The factory supplies the documents.

What goes on the inspection checklist?+

Leaflet and code rejects, tamper seal, reject confirmation, guard interlocks, size change.

What CE documentation do I need to import it?+

A Declaration of Conformity, the importer's name and address, and separate declarations for a bolted-on printer and camera.
