The speed on a blister machine quote is usually measured on PVC-alu, and if your product needs cold-formed alu-alu for moisture protection, the same frame runs slower and needs different tooling.

Clear PVC is heat formed. Alu-alu is cold formed by pressing laminated foil, needs larger pockets and a slower stroke. Ask for the speed and format parts for each material you will run.
Flat plate machines press the whole blister card at once and handle deep pockets. Roller machines run continuously and faster on shallow pockets. Most small DPP machines are flat plate.
Each blister layout needs its own forming mould, sealing plate, feeder guide and punch. Ask what one extra format costs and how long a change takes.
Brush feeders, dedicated track feeders and vision systems differ. Ask whether a blister with an empty or broken pocket is detected and rejected automatically, and how that is proven.
Ask which parts touch product, their material grade and certificates, and whether the feeder and track come apart without tools for cleaning between batches.

EU GMP (EudraLex Volume 4) binds a licensed medicines manufacturer, who qualifies the machine in use. A food supplement business works under food law, Directive 2002/46/EC and Regulation (EC) 1935/2004. No machine is GMP compliant on its own.
The seeded empty-pocket test, a leak test, a timed format change and clean-down. Then check material certificates and every format part against the contract.
Buying direct from China usually makes you the importer. Check the Declaration of Conformity names this serial number before the machine ships.
