Where the scope starts and ends
One listing starts at frozen meat and ends at the seamer with no retort named. Another runs from grinding to palletising. Draw your own boundary and send it with the enquiry.

A wet pet food line is five processes sold under one name, frozen meat preparation, chunk forming, gravy, filling and sterilising, and two quotes almost never draw the boundary in the same place.

Frozen blocks need a flaker or tempering before grinding. Ask the block size the flaker takes and the throughput from frozen, not from chilled meat.
Meat chunks are made by forming an emulsion, setting it with heat, cutting and cooling. This cooking and cutting section decides chunk texture, and it is the part buyers forget to specify.
Cans, pouches and trays need different fillers, sealers and retort loading. A line built for cans does not switch to pouches by changing parts.
If the retort is in scope, ask for type, basket count and who performs the heat penetration study on your product in your pack.
02
Send these with the enquiry. Without them, any number a factory gives you is a guess dressed as a quotation.

| Your recipe run through the chunk forming section at the factory or a reference plant. | Chunks cut to your size, holding shape after a retort cycle, judged against a sample you approved in writing. |
| Filling of chunks and gravy into your pack, one hundred packs weighed. | Every pack inside your fill tolerance, and the chunk-to-gravy ratio within your recipe limit. |
| Full line run at contract speed for one hour. | Packs counted at the end of the line at or above the contracted rate, with stoppages logged. |

A pet food canning line, or a pouch filler and retort.
A pet food extrusion line, dog treat making machine or pet biscuit machine.

We name the kind of source, how many and when, and never the factory. Listed prices are asking prices, not landed cost. Where we do not hold a fact we say so: that is a GAP, not an estimate.
07
Every machine we source in this area is on the Pet food page. How a project runs, stage by stage, is on how it works, and what it costs is on pricing.
Straight answers
Process know-how for chunk forming, retort control and integration. From China you usually buy stations; plan who integrates them and who validates the retort.
Which stations the factory builds itself and which it buys in, whether a chunk forming section can run your recipe, and a reference plant you can visit.
The line falls under machinery, electrical and pressure rules. Your plant is a feed business under Regulation (EC) 183/2005 and handles animal by-products under Regulation (EC) 1069/2009, which brings approval and heat-treatment duties. Talk to your competent authority before you commit.
Whoever places it on the EU market, usually you when buying direct. The importer's name goes on each machine or its papers.
