What hides inside the price

Sealing method

Hot air melts the inner layer of plastic and laminate tubes. Ultrasonic seals do the same with vibration and run slower. Aluminium tubes need a folding head that folds and crimps the end. Ask which heads are fitted, and whether a second head is an extra.

Eye mark orientation

A sensor turns each tube to its printed mark before sealing, so the artwork faces front. Test it on your printed tubes, not blank ones.

Filling system

Piston fillers for cream and paste, pumps for thin liquids. Heated or stirred hoppers for product that sets. Ask about suck-back to stop tails on the seal area.

Seal coding

Batch and date embossed in the seal is common. Ask how many characters and how the dies change.
