An auger meters volume and trusts the bulk density to stay put. A net-weigh filler puts a load cell under the container and fills to mass. Weighing costs more and runs slower; it wins on expensive or unstable powders.

Pack format

Jars and cans, stick packs, sachets, big bags and capsules each need a different machine. Listings under this name mix them all.

Dust handling

Fine powder escapes at the nozzle and the container mouth. Ask for dust extraction points, and whether the design is rated for combustible dust.

Container handling

Semi-automatic units need an operator to place each container. Automatic lines add conveyors and indexing. Compare like with like.
