Auger filler from China

An auger filler is only as accurate as the screw fitted for your weight band, and it usually ships with one screw, so a claim of 1 percent across the whole range promises what the standard tooling cannot do.

What hides inside the price

Screw and tube sets

Each auger diameter suits a weight band. One listing offered fifteen cup sizes; another shipped only the medium set. Count the sets quoted against your pack sizes.

Accuracy by weight band

Accuracy worsens at small weights. Ask for the claim at your lightest pack, not the headline figure.

Weight feedback

Plain augers dose by screw turns. Load cell versions fill fast to most of the weight, then slowly to target, and correct drift. Worth it on costly powder.

Agitator and hopper

An agitator stops sticky powder bridging. Hopper volume sets how often the feeder runs.

Before you ask for a price.

Send these with the enquiry. Without them, any number a factory gives you is a guess dressed as a quotation.

Your powder as a sample, with bulk density and whether it flows or clumps.
Every fill weight you pack, lightest to heaviest.
Container drawings and mouth diameter.
Fills per minute needed.
Whether an infeed screw conveyor and a checkweigher are in scope.

Buy something else if

Named, not hedged

Your powder is costly and its density swings with humidity.

A net-weigh powder filling machine, or an auger with load cell feedback.

You pack loose snacks or granules.

A multihead weigher; the screw would break the product.
