A carton sealer is cheap and simple, and the costly mistake is a fixed-size model in a warehouse that ships many box sizes, where someone stops the line to reset it.

A fixed sealer is set by hand for one box size. An adaptive sealer senses each box and moves its belts and tape head itself.
Side belts grip the box walls. Light, soft or tall boxes can need top and bottom belts.
Top flaps folded by an operator, or by the machine.
Tape width, knife guarding, and how easy the heads are to buy again.

Many sealers put the largest box in the model number. On an FXJ-5050, one listing stated a largest box 500 mm wide and 500 mm high. Measure your largest box first.

Send these with the enquiry. Without them, any number a factory gives you is a guess dressed as a quotation.
