Seaming heads
The number of seaming heads, each with first and second operation rollers, sets the speed. Ask how many, and whether spare rollers are included.

The seam is the product: a can that fills well and seams badly leaks or lets oxygen in weeks later, and most offers describe the filler in detail and the seamer in one line.

Chucks and rollers fit one lid diameter. Ask which cans the tooling covers and the price of each extra set.
Ask whether cans are purged with CO2 before filling and gassed under the lid, and whether oxygen pickup was measured.
Counter-pressure for carbonated drinks, level filling for still ones.
A seam saw and micrometer, or a seam projector. Many offers include neither.

Send these with the enquiry. Without them, any number a factory gives you is a guess dressed as a quotation.

| Seam your lids on your cans, then cut and measure cans from every head. | Thickness, width, countersink, body hook, cover hook and overlap inside the lid supplier's figures on every head. |
| Fill your product at rated speed, a counted series. | Fill volume within tolerance and no can leaking under water. |
| Where oxygen matters, measure dissolved oxygen before and after. | Pickup inside the figure in the contract. |

A semi-automatic single-head seamer, or a mobile canning service.
A beverage bottling line; can tooling does not convert.

We name the kind of source, how many and when, and never the factory. Listed prices are asking prices, not landed cost. Where we do not hold a fact we say so: that is a GAP, not an estimate.

Every machine we source in this area is on the Food & candy page. How a project runs, stage by stage, is on how it works, and what it costs is on pricing.
