Biscuit production line from China

A biscuit line is sold by belt width and a kilograms per hour figure, but real capacity is set by the oven length and the bake time of your own biscuit, and two lines with the same name can differ by a whole oven.

Written and listings checked 30 September 2026. Every figure on this page names its source.

01

What you are actually comparing.

Two quotes, one machine name

What hides inside the price
01

Hard or soft dough forming

Hard and cracker doughs are laminated, gauged and cut by a rotary cutter. Soft doughs are pressed in a rotary moulder. A line that claims both needs two heads; ask which one is in the price.

02

Oven length and heating

A shorter oven forces a slower belt, so the same width makes fewer kilograms. Ask gas, diesel or electric, the number of zones, and whether top and bottom heat are set separately.

03

Where the quote stops

Oil spraying, cooling, stacking, sandwiching and packing are separate machines. Cheap quotes often end at the oven exit.

04

Drives and bearings

Some listings name European motors and inverters; many name none. Ask brand and part number for each drive, because one dead inverter stops a long line.

05

Scrap return

On a hard biscuit line the trimmed web goes back to the laminator. Without a return conveyor you lose that dough or handle it by hand.

02

Decode the model code.

On several Chinese biscuit lines the number in the model is the working belt width in millimetres, not kilograms per hour. Width is half the sum; the oven sets the belt speed.

  • Belt speed = oven length / bake time.
  • Kilograms per hour = belt speed x belt width x biscuit weight per square metre of belt. Ask the factory to fill in all three for your biscuit.

03

Before you ask for a price.

Send these with the enquiry. Without them, any number a factory gives you is a guess dressed as a quotation.

04

Turn the claim into a demonstration.

Require thisA pass looks like
Run your dough through the forming head the quote includes, at the offered belt speed.Clean pieces, no torn edges, scrap return running without build-up.
Bake a counted sample and weigh pieces from both belt edges and the centre.Weight and colour inside your tolerance across the full belt width.
Log oven zone temperatures for the full run. Each zone holds its set point, log attached to the FAT record.

05

The documents that must arrive with it.

The one people forget. The declaration for the moulder roll and oven belt material. Both touch dough constantly, and an auditor asks for them first.

06

When this is the wrong machine.

Buy something else if

Named, not hedged
01

You make small volumes or many shapes in short runs.

A standalone cookie depositor and a rack oven. A long line pays only when it runs one product for days.

02

Your product is filled or sandwiched and the quote has no station for it.

Price the downstream machines first. The forming line is the smaller problem.

07

Where the numbers come from.

We name the kind of source, how many and when, and never the factory. Listed prices are asking prices, not landed cost. Where we do not hold a fact we say so: that is a GAP, not an estimate.

Related machines.

Every machine we source in this area is on the Food & candy page. How a project runs, stage by stage, is on how it works, and what it costs is on pricing.

Straight answers

Questions buyers ask about this machine.

Chinese vs European biscuit production line: what is the difference?+

Same process. The difference is oven control, drive brands, belt tracking and parts supply. A used European oven with a new Chinese forming section is worth pricing.

What should a biscuit production line inspection checklist include?+

Serial numbers against the declaration, belt width and oven length against the offer, which forming head is supplied, guarding at cutter and moulder, and your dough run with weights recorded.

What CE documentation comes with a biscuit line?+

A Declaration of Conformity under the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC until 19 January 2027, then the Machinery Regulation (EU) 2023/1230, covering the assembly. A CE mark on a brochure proves nothing.

Who is the EU importer of a biscuit line?+

The company placing it on the EU market. Its name goes on the machine or documents and it checks the conformity file. Buying direct, that is you.
