What hides inside the price

Depositing, wire cut or both

Depositing suits soft, piped doughs and batters. Wire cut suits stiff doughs with chips, nuts or oats that would block a nozzle. Combination machines exist; ask whether the wire and the rotating nozzles are both in the base price.

Tray-fed or onto an oven band

Bench machines deposit onto bakery trays that go into a rack oven. Line machines deposit onto a belt feeding a tunnel oven. The first is a machine; the second is part of a biscuit line.

Pressure rollers and hopper

Feed rollers push dough to the die. Particle size in your dough decides the roller gap. Ask the maximum inclusion size the die takes without crushing.

Nozzles and dies included

Each shape is a die or nozzle set. Count the sets in the price and ask the price and lead time of a new custom die from your drawing.

Recipe memory and servo drive

Servo machines store dosing and cut settings per product. Cam machines are set by hand at each change.

Deposit your soft dough for a full hopper and weigh a counted sample from every nozzle.	All nozzles inside your weight tolerance, no tails or drips between rows.
Change shape and product, timed from last good cookie to next good cookie.	Changeover time and tools recorded in the FAT record and inside the contract figure.

EU Declaration of Conformity naming the model and serial number.
Food contact declarations under Regulation (EC) 1935/2004 for hopper, rollers, dies and wire.
Die and nozzle drawings, so new shapes can be made locally.

The one people forget. The die drawings. Without them every new cookie shape has to come from the original factory.

Buy something else if

Named, not hedged

You need thousands of kilograms a day of one hard biscuit.

A biscuit production line with laminator or rotary moulder and a tunnel oven.

Your dough is a rolled, cut-out shape such as a gingerbread figure.

A sheeter with a rotary or stamping cutter. Neither nozzles nor wire cut will make it.

For tray-fed depositors the process is simple and the gap is mostly in weight consistency, servo control and die supply. Test your dough before you decide.

What should a cookie making machine inspection checklist include?+

Serial number against the declaration, die and nozzle sets counted against the offer, guard interlock at the wire and rollers, and your dough run with weights recorded.

What CE documentation comes with a cookie machine?+

A Declaration of Conformity under the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC until 19 January 2027, then the Machinery Regulation (EU) 2023/1230, with 2014/35/EU and 2014/30/EU. A CE sticker alone proves nothing.

Who is the EU importer of a cookie machine?+

The company placing it on the EU market. It is named on the machine or documents and checks the conformity file. Buying direct, that is you.
