Industrial bakery oven from China

An industrial bakery oven is priced by trays or metres, but what it costs you is the energy connection and the evenness of the bake across the belt, and neither is visible in a price per metre.

What you are actually comparing.

Two quotes, one machine name

What hides inside the price
01

Rack, deck or tunnel

Rotary rack ovens bake trolleys in batches. Deck ovens bake on stone for crust. Tunnel ovens bake continuously on a belt and belong at the end of a line. Decide the oven type before comparing prices.

02

Heating: direct gas, indirect, electric, diesel

Direct-fired gas puts the flame in the baking chamber; indirect heats through exchangers. Electric needs a large grid connection. Ask which, and whether the burner is certified for the gas at your site.

03

Zones and control

Separate top and bottom heat per zone lets you set colour and bake. Ask how many zones, who makes the controllers, and whether temperatures are logged.

04

Belt or trolley and width

Mesh belt, steel band or stone band change the base of the product. Belt width must match the forming line upstream.

05

Insulation and outer temperature

Thin insulation raises energy use and makes the bakery hot. Ask the outer panel temperature at full heat.

02

Before you ask for a price.

Send these with the enquiry. Without them, any number a factory gives you is a guess dressed as a quotation.

03

Turn the claim into a demonstration.

Bake a full load or full belt width of your own product at your bake time.Colour and bake even from edge to centre and front to back, photographed per position.

Measure outer panel temperature and energy use over one hour at full load.Figures recorded in the FAT record and inside the contract values.

04

The documents that must arrive with it.

The one people forget. The burner and gas train certificate. Without it a gas installer in the EU may refuse to connect the oven.

When this is the wrong machine.

Buy something else if

Named, not hedged
01

You bake many products in small batches.

Rack or deck ovens. A tunnel oven pays only with long runs of one product.

02

Your site cannot get the electrical connection an electric tunnel needs.

A gas-fired oven, or a shorter oven with a slower belt and a lower output target.

06

Where the numbers come from.

We name the kind of source, how many and when, and never the factory. Listed prices are asking prices, not landed cost. Where we do not hold a fact we say so: that is a GAP, not an estimate.

Every machine we source in this area is on the Food & candy page. How a project runs, stage by stage, is on how it works, and what it costs is on pricing.

Straight answers

Questions buyers ask about this machine.

Chinese vs European industrial bakery oven: what differs?+

Burner and control brands, insulation, evenness across the belt and parts supply. A used European tunnel oven is often a real alternative to price.

What should an industrial bakery oven factory audit look at?+

Whether they build the chamber and burner systems themselves, and whether a test oven can bake your product with a zone log.

What CE documentation comes with an industrial oven?+

A Declaration of Conformity under the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC until 19 January 2027, then the Machinery Regulation (EU) 2023/1230, plus low voltage and EMC. For gas, the burner papers as well. A CE mark on a brochure proves nothing.

Who is the EU importer of an industrial oven?+

The company placing it on the EU market, named on the oven or documents, and responsible for checking the conformity file. Buying direct, that is you.
