How pressure is made and set
Pneumatic, hydraulic and servo presses share this name. Ask for the force and whether it shows as a reading, not a knob position.

A pressed eyeshadow must survive a drop yet still lift onto a brush, and that balance rests on pressure, dwell time and the mould, which listings seldom state.

Pneumatic, hydraulic and servo presses share this name. Ask for the force and whether it shows as a reading, not a knob position.
Every pan shape needs its own mould and punch. Ask for mould material and the cost of each new shape.
Patterns need an embossed punch, and many presses work through a cloth so powder does not stick. Ask what the cloth costs to run.
Lab and semi-automatic presses need hand-filled pans. Automatic ones dose, press and discharge. Ask which steps stay manual.

Send these with the enquiry. Without them, any number a factory gives you is a guess dressed as a quotation.

| Require this | A pass looks like |
|---|---|
| Press a counted batch of your powder in your pans. | Every cake flat and pressed to the edge, with no cracks or loose corners. |
| Drop a sample of finished compacts from a fixed height onto a hard floor. | Cakes stay whole in at least the share you set before the test. |
| Rub each sample with a brush. | Colour lifts without the surface glazing or crumbling. |

A tablet press, which many results under this name turn out to be.
An auger powder filler. A press compacts powder; it does not dose it loose.

We name the kind of source, how many and when, and never the factory. Listed prices are asking prices, not landed cost. Where we do not hold a fact we say so: that is a GAP, not an estimate.

Every machine we source in this area is on the Cosmetics page. How a project runs, stage by stage, is on how it works, and what it costs is on pricing.
Straight answers
Force control, moulds, and drop and brush tests on your powder.
Force readings, a counted pressed batch, a drop test, a brush test and mould drawings.
A Declaration of Conformity and technical file. Regulation (EC) 1223/2009 covers your eyeshadow, not the press.
The business placing it on the EU market, usually you, named on the machine or its papers.
