01Additive weighing
Cement and sand are weighed in hundreds of kilograms; cellulose ether and redispersible polymer powder in a few kilograms per batch. Ask for a separate small scale for additives, its resolution, and whether dosing is manual or automatic.
02Mixer principle
Plough shear mixers with side choppers break up fibres and lumps of polymer powder; ribbon mixers are cheaper and gentler. Ask which is quoted and the mixing time per batch.
03Grey and white switching
White adhesive picks up grey traces from residue in the mixer and bins. Ask how the mixer empties, how it is cleaned between colours, and whether separate hoppers are offered.
04Valve bag packer
Most adhesive leaves in valve bags. Packers range from air float to impeller and screw types. Ask the bag weight accuracy and the dust capture at the spout.
05Sand input
Most small lines assume dry, graded sand bought in. Check the quote does not assume a dryer you do not have.
