Dry mortar production line from China

A dry mortar line is only as good as the sand that enters it, and the dryer, screens and silos that make sand usable are the parts most often missing from a low quote.

What you are actually comparing.

What hides inside the price
01

Sand drying and screening

Wet sand cannot be blended with cement into a stable bagged product. Ask whether a rotary dryer, burner, cooler and screens are included, what moisture the dryer is rated to reach, and on what fuel.

02

Plant layout: tower or stepped

A tower plant stacks silos above the mixer and feeds by gravity; a stepped plant is lower and cheaper to build but moves material with more conveyors. Height, footprint and building cost follow from this choice.

03

Raw material silos

Count silos for washed sand fractions, cement, lime and filler, with tonnage and level sensors. A line with too few silos cannot switch recipes without emptying bins.

04

Mixer and batch weight

Ask the mixer type, net batch weight and mixing time. Rated tonnes an hour is batch weight times batches an hour; ask for both numbers.

05

Packing and palletising

Open-mouth or valve bags, bulk loading, and whether a palletiser is in scope. Packing speed often caps real output before the mixer does.

02

Before you ask for a price.

Send these with the enquiry. Without them, any number a factory gives you is a guess dressed as a quotation.

03

Turn the claim into a demonstration.

Require thisA pass looks like
Run the dryer on sand at your wettest season moisture for one hour.Output moisture stays under the figure written in the offer, measured by oven test.
Weigh ten consecutive batches from the mixer. Each batch inside the weight tolerance set before the run.
Test bags from the start and end of a run in an independent laboratory. Both meet the EN 998 or EN 13813 class you will declare.

04

The documents that must arrive with it.

The one people forget. The dust and emission data for the dryer stack and filters. The environmental permit usually asks for it, and it is rarely in the export file.

01

Your range is mostly tile adhesive and specialist products with small additive doses.

A tile adhesive production line built around fine additive weighing, fed with pre-dried sand.

02

You can buy kiln-dried sand at a fair price locally.

A line without dryer, which removes the burner, stack and much of the permit work.

06

Where the numbers come from.

We name the kind of source, how many and when, and never the factory. Listed prices are asking prices, not landed cost. Where we do not hold a fact we say so: that is a GAP, not an estimate.

Every machine we source in this area is on the Construction page. How a project runs, stage by stage, is on how it works, and what it costs is on pricing.

Straight answers

Questions buyers ask about this machine.

Chinese vs European dry mortar production line: where is the gap?+

Usually the dryer, the weighing and the control software. Test drying on your own sand and write the moisture result into the contract.

What does a dry mortar production line factory audit check?+

Whether the maker builds dryers and burners itself or buys them in, how it welds silo frames, and whether it has a running plant you can visit.

What does EU compliance cover for a dry mortar production line?+

The line needs a machinery declaration. Mortars you sell need their own declaration of performance under EN 998 or EN 13813.

Who is the EU importer of a dry mortar production line?+

When you buy directly from outside the EU, usually you. Your name and address go on the line or its documents.
