Search for a roof tile making machine and most offers are metal sheet roll formers, and among the concrete tile machines the real limit is often the number of pallets the tiles cure on, not the press.

Roller extrusion machines push a continuous ribbon of mortar under a roller and slipper and cut it into tiles. Hydraulic presses form one tile at a time with no vibration. Ask which, and see tiles from it.
Each tile is formed on its own shaped pallet and stays there until it can be handled. Ask how many pallets are included and their material, since they limit daily output.
Every tile profile, and each ridge, verge or eave fitting, needs its own mould and pallet set. Ask the price per profile.
Through-coloured mix, a colour slurry or a sealer coat after curing change the equipment list. Ask which the offer assumes.

Listed speed is tiles per minute. Multiply by minutes in a shift for a ceiling, then compare it with the shift output the same listing claims.

Send these with the enquiry. Without them, any number a factory gives you is a guess dressed as a quotation.

| Run your profile with your sand for one counted hour. | Tiles per minute match the offer, with every tile complete at the nibs and interlocks. |
| Weigh 20 tiles and check their fit on a test roof batten frame. | Weight and interlock fit inside limits agreed before the run. |
| Send cured tiles to an independent laboratory for EN 491 tests. | Transverse strength, water impermeability and frost results meet what you will declare under EN 490. |

We name the kind of source, how many and when, and never the factory. Listed prices are asking prices, not landed cost. Where we do not hold a fact we say so: that is a GAP, not an estimate.

Every machine we source in this area is on the Construction page. How a project runs, stage by stage, is on how it works, and what it costs is on pricing.

Pallet flatness, mould wear at the interlocks, roller and slipper condition, a counted run and tiles sent for EN 491 tests.
