Two quotes, one machine name

What hides inside the price

Calcining: included or not

Raw gypsum must be calcined to stucco before forming. Some quotes assume you buy stucco; others include the calciner. Ask in writing.

Dryer type and fuel

The multi deck dryer is the biggest energy user. Ask fuel, decks, length and fuel use per square metre.

Forming speed and board range

Speed and board thickness set annual output. Ask for the speed at each thickness, not only at the thinnest board.

Paper and additive systems

Ask about the paper splicer, edge folding and additive dosing. Weak paper handling stops the line.

Send these with the enquiry. Without them, any number a factory gives you is a guess dressed as a quotation.

Raw material: natural gypsum, FGD gypsum or stucco, with analysis.
Annual output in square metres, and board thickness and length mix.
Fuel available on site: gas, coal, oil or thermal oil, and its price.
Board types: standard, moisture resistant, fire resistant.

Take boards from that line to an independent laboratory.	Results meet the properties you will declare under EN 520.
Read fuel and power meters over one shift.	Use per square metre inside the figure written in the offer.
