Concrete block making machine from China

The output figure in a quotation usually counts the smallest brick the mould makes, not the block your business needs.

Written and listings checked 30 September 2026. Every figure on this page names its source.

01

What you are actually comparing.

Two quotes, one machine name

What hides inside the price
01

Output per hour, and for which block

Listings give one hourly figure covering everything from a hollow 400 x 200 x 200 mm block to a small solid brick. Ask for the count of your block and the cycle time it assumes. Output divided by blocks per cycle must not imply a cycle faster than the listed one.

02

Vibration system

Density comes from vibration under pressure. Listings for one model code state very different vibration forces, with no method. Ask for motor count and rating.

03

Mould steel and wear life

The mould is a wear part and decides accuracy after the first months. Ask for steel grade, hardness and expected cycles before re-machining, and the price of a second mould.

04

Pallet size and material

Blocks cure on production pallets. Suppliers of one model code list different pallet sizes, and your choice fixes racking, curing space and every future mould.

05

What is in the line

Some prices cover the press alone, others the whole line. The power figure shows which was priced.

06

Hydraulic and electrical components

Ask for pump, valve and PLC brands, and whether each motor has its own protection in the panel.

07

Frame and steel mass

Listed weights for one model code differ by thousands of kilograms. A lighter frame absorbs less vibration. Ask for the weight of the press alone.

02

Decode the model code.

The QT code encodes real numbers. The first number is how many hollow 400 x 200 x 200 mm blocks the mould forms per cycle. The second is the design cycle time in seconds. QT4-15 means 4 blocks every 15 seconds: a ceiling of 960 an hour before any pallet change, mix batch or break, as our QT4-15 claim review shows in full. A brochure saying 1,000 an hour is above the ceiling. Real running gives 70 to 85 per cent of it.

  • QT4-15: 4 blocks x 3,600 seconds / 15 seconds per cycle = 960 blocks an hour, the ceiling
  • 8,000 blocks in an 8-hour shift = 1,000 an hour, 40 above the ceiling
  • Slow end of the listed cycle range: 4 x 3,600 / 20 = 720 an hour
  • Net at 70 to 85 per cent: 960 x 0.70 = 672, 960 x 0.85 = 816 an hour
  • Narrow block 400 x 100 x 200 mm, 8 per cycle: 8 x 3,600 / 15 = 1,920 an hour, honest for a different block

03

Before you ask for a price.

Send these with the enquiry. Without them, any number a factory gives you is a guess dressed as a quotation.

04

Turn the claim into a demonstration.

Require thisA pass looks like
Run your block, in a mix close to yours, for one counted hour.Count divided by blocks per cycle gives a cycle no slower than the contract rate, recorded on video.
Measure 20 blocks from different mould positions across at least five cycles.Dimensions stay inside the EN 771-3 tolerance category you must declare, including blocks from the corner cavities.
Weigh fresh blocks from the start and end of the hour. The difference stays inside a limit agreed beforehand. Falling weight means falling density.
Send cured samples to an independent laboratory for compressive strength. The strength class matches what you will declare, and the report names the curing age tested.

05

The documents that must arrive with it.

The one people forget. The declaration of performance for your blocks. The machine's CE marking does not cover what it makes. Selling blocks in the EU needs your own declaration of performance under the Construction Products Regulation.

Named, not hedged
01

Your business case needs more than about 816 hollow blocks an hour, the top of the net QT4-15 range.

Price a larger QT code with more blocks per cycle and check its arithmetic the same way.

02

You mainly sell paving blocks to road or municipal projects.

A paver block machine with a face-mix feeder for a coloured wear layer.

03

You need lightweight insulating blocks.

An AAC block production line.

07

Where the numbers come from.

We name the kind of source, how many and when, and never the factory. Listed prices are asking prices, not landed cost. Where we do not hold a fact we say so: that is a GAP, not an estimate.

Every machine we source in this area is on the Construction page. How a project runs, stage by stage, is on how it works, and what it costs is on pricing.

Straight answers

Questions buyers ask about this machine.

Chinese vs European concrete block making machine: which should I buy?+

European presses usually have heavier frames, known hydraulic brands and local service. Chinese presses of the same code cost less and ship with less documentation. Compare steel mass, mould hardness and the rate each supplier will put in the acceptance criteria.

What belongs on a concrete block making machine inspection checklist?+

A counted one-hour run of your block, dimensional checks from all mould positions, a weight check, the mould hardness certificate, panel wiring and the documents on this page, each with a written pass criterion.

Is a concrete block making machine factory audit worth it?+

Yes for a full line. It shows whether the factory machines and hardens its own moulds, which decides mould life.

What CE documentation does a concrete block making machine need?+

An EU Declaration of Conformity, a technical file, instructions in your language and the diagrams. A CE mark on a brochure proves nothing. Read which directives the declaration names.

Who is the EU importer of a concrete block making machine?+

If you buy directly from outside the EU, usually you. Your name and address go on the machine or its documents, and you check the conformity documents match the machine.
