A spray cleaning machine cleans by impact, impact falls quickly with distance from the nozzle, and the figure that decides your result is the pressure and flow arriving at the part, which no listing states and every quote should.

What hides inside the price

Pump duty point

Impact needs pressure and flow together. A high pressure, low flow pump cleans a spot; a lower pressure, high flow manifold floods a whole load. Ask the pump model and its rated pressure at rated flow.

Nozzles and distance

Flat fan, full cone or rotating nozzles, how many, and the distance from nozzle to the nearest and farthest face of your part. A quote without a nozzle layout cannot be compared.

Part holding and shadowing

Faces hidden behind other faces stay dirty. Fixtures that present each face, a rotating basket or an oscillating manifold reduce shadowing; a loose heap does not.

Foam and mist

Spray whips detergent into foam, and foam overflow starves the pump. Spray machines need low-foam chemistry and a vapour exhaust duct.

Configuration

Cabinet for batches, conveyor for flow, drum for small loose parts. The same name covers produce washers and trolley washers too, so name your product first.

Send these with the enquiry. Without them, any number a factory gives you is a guess dressed as a quotation.

A drawing or sample of the part, marked with the faces that must be clean.
How the part will sit: fixture, basket, hook or loose, and the load per cycle.
Whether the soil is loose, like chips and dust, or dried on, like polishing paste.
The detergent you will use, its foaming behaviour and working temperature.
Where vapour will go: a duct outside, or into your hall.

Load a dummy part marked with removable paint or water-sensitive paper in the worst position of a full load.	Every face that must be clean shows spray impact; any shadowed face was agreed in writing before the run.
Fit a gauge at the manifold, not at the pump, and run at full flow with all nozzles fitted.	Manifold pressure sits inside the band stated in the contract.
Run your chemistry at working temperature for a full cycle.	No foam overflow, no pump cavitation noise, and mist stays inside with the door closed.

The documents that must arrive with it.

EU Declaration of Conformity for the serial number under the machinery rules at delivery, 2006/42/EC or Regulation (EU) 2023/1230, with 2014/35/EU.
Pump data sheet with its pressure and flow curve.
Manual in the language of use, including nozzle types and positions.

The one people forget. The nozzle layout drawing. When a nozzle blocks or wears, the tested result comes back only with the same nozzle type at the same angle, and without the drawing nobody knows what that was.

Named, not hedged

The soil sits inside bores, threads or blind holes.

An industrial ultrasonic cleaner. Spray reaches faces in its line of sight only.

The object is too big for a cabinet, such as a vehicle, a mould in a press or a floor.

A high pressure industrial washer with a lance, or dry ice blasting for moulds cleaned in place.
