Industrial ultrasonic cleaner from China

What decides whether an ultrasonic cleaner works is transducer power for the volume of liquid, and listings print the tank litres large and the watts small, so two tanks of one size can clean very differently.

What hides inside the price

Power per litre

Divide generator watts by tank litres. Two listings we checked gave 15 and about 14 W per litre. Ask whether the figure is average or peak power; a peak figure makes a weak tank look strong.

Frequency

Around 28 kHz gives harsh cavitation for carbon and heavy grease. 40 kHz is the general choice. Higher frequencies such as 80 kHz suit fine parts and soft metals that pit at low frequency.

Transducer fixing and tank steel

Cavitation slowly erodes the tank floor above the transducers. Ask sheet thickness, SUS304 or SUS316, and whether transducer packs can be replaced without cutting the tank.

Overflow and oil skimming

Oil floats, and parts lifted out through an oily surface come out dirty again. Ask for an overflow weir, a skimmer and a filter pump, often sold as options.

Rinse, dry and lift

One tank leaves chemistry on the part. Multi-tank units add a rinse, a hot-air dryer and sometimes a lift, so nobody reaches into a hot bath.

Before you ask for a price.

Send these with the enquiry. Without them, any number a factory gives you is a guess dressed as a quotation.

Your part: largest dimension, basket weight, material, and every blind hole or thread that must come out clean.
The soil: cutting oil, polishing paste, carbon, flux or loose particles.
The chemistry you plan to use, so tank grade and seals can be checked against it.
Baskets per hour, which sets the tank count and whether a lift is worth paying for.
Mains voltage and phase, and a dry place for the generator cabinet.

Clean a basket of your own parts, soiled as they leave your process, with the proposed chemistry and time.	Parts meet the agreed water break, wipe or particle check, including inside blind holes.
Foil test: hang aluminium foil strips at several positions in the tank for a fixed time.	Foil is evenly perforated across the tank, with no dead corners from a failed transducer pack.
Run at full power and working temperature for a shift.	No generator alarm, and the bath holds the temperature band written in the contract.

EU Declaration of Conformity for this serial number, under 2006/42/EC or, from 20 January 2027, Regulation (EU) 2023/1230, plus 2014/35/EU and 2014/30/EU.
Generator data sheet with frequency, average and peak power, and transducer count.
Manual in the language of use, with chemistry limits for tank and seals.

The one people forget. The EMC test report. The generator is switching electronics that often sits beside measuring equipment, and you need 2014/30/EU evidence if it disturbs them.

Buy something else if

Named, not hedged

Parts are large or heavy, like engine blocks, and the soil is chips and oil on outside faces.

A spray parts washer. A tank big enough to hold the part burns heater energy and chemistry spray does not need.

You must remove paint, rust or oxide bonded to the surface.

Laser cleaning or dry ice blasting. Cavitation lifts loose soil; it does not strip coatings.
