High pressure industrial washer from China

Industrial pressure washers are sold by bar, but pressure loosens the dirt and flow carries it away, so a high bar figure on a small pump can clean slower than a lower pressure with more water, and the pump behind both figures decides how long the machine lasts.

What hides inside the price

Pressure and flow together

Ask both at the gun, then check them against the motor. Pump power in kW is bar times litres per minute divided by 600; a quote whose motor is smaller than that arithmetic has overstated one figure.

Pump build

Industrial units use crankshaft plunger pumps, often with ceramic plungers. Light units use axial pumps that wear fast in daily use. Ask the pump maker and its rated speed.

Hot or cold water

Hot water cuts grease and fat far better. A diesel burner needs fuel, a flue and descaling of the heating coil in hard water; electric heating needs a large supply.

Drive

Three-phase electric for indoor and fixed use. Petrol or diesel engines for sites with no power, never in closed halls because of exhaust.

Ultra-high pressure class

Water jetting machines for castings, tanks and hydrodemolition work at pressures far above wash-bay units, with different safety rules and operator training.

Before you ask for a price.

Send these with the enquiry. Without them, any number a factory gives you is a guess dressed as a quotation.

What you clean, such as vehicles, floors, moulds, tanks or castings, and whether the soil is greasy.
The electrical supply at the wash point, or none.
Indoor or outdoor use, which decides burner and engine options.
Hours of use per day, which decides the pump class.
Water supply pressure and hardness, or feed from a tank.

Turn the claim into a demonstration.

Require this	A pass looks like
At working pressure, fill a container for one timed minute through the gun.	Measured flow and gauge pressure both match the contract figures.
Run the burner for an hour on hot water units.	Outlet temperature reaches the stated value and holds it, with no visible smoke.
Release the trigger at full pressure, then inspect hose and fittings.	The unloader sends the pump into bypass or auto-stop, and no fitting leaks.

The documents that must arrive with it.

EU Declaration of Conformity for the serial number, naming the machinery rules (2006/42/EC, or Regulation (EU) 2023/1230 from 20 January 2027) and the standards applied, such as EN 60335-2-79 for high pressure cleaners or EN 1829-1 for water jet machines.
Pump data sheet with rated pressure, flow and speed.
Manual in the language of use, with noise values and burner instructions.

The one people forget. The pressure rating of hoses and fittings. Replacement hoses are bought locally, and a hose rated below the pump is the part that fails dangerously.

Buy something else if

Named, not hedged

You clean batches of small machined parts.

A spray cleaning machine or parts washer, which cleans a whole basket with no operator holding a lance.

Water must not reach the surface, such as electrics, or moulds cleaned hot in the press.

A dry ice blasting machine, which leaves no water or blast media behind.
