What hides inside the price

New or returned bottles

New bottles need a rinse, often inside the filler monobloc. Returned bottles carry dried product, mould and labels and need soaking, brushing or jetting, and a far bigger machine.

Caustic soak and its control

Soak time, bath temperature and caustic strength do the cleaning. Ask how concentration is measured and topped up, and how hot caustic is contained if a door opens.

Label and pulp removal

Paper labels turn to pulp that blocks nozzles and loads the bath. Ask for the label discharge system and how often the bath is dumped because of it.

Formats and change parts

Pockets, grippers or guides are made per bottle shape. Count the formats quoted and the time to change between them.

Final rinse and heat recovery

The last rinse must remove all caustic, using fresh water. Heat exchangers between zones cut energy; ask whether they are in the price.

Send these with the enquiry. Without them, any number a factory gives you is a guess dressed as a quotation.

Drawings or samples of every bottle format, with neck finish.
New or returned bottles, and the label material and glue.
Bottles per hour, matched to the filler it will feed.
Whether your site can store and handle caustic, and where spent solution goes.
Whether an empty bottle inspector after the washer is in scope.

EU Declaration of Conformity for the serial number under 2006/42/EC or, from 20 January 2027, Regulation (EU) 2023/1230, with 2014/35/EU and 2014/30/EU.
Material declarations for parts that touch the bottle interior or final rinse water, asked with Regulation (EC) 1935/2004 in mind.
Manual in the language of use, with caustic handling and emergency procedures.

The one people forget. The change part drawings per bottle format. A new bottle shape next year needs matching pockets or grippers, and without the drawings every new format depends on the original factory.

You only fill new bottles delivered clean and wrapped.

A rinser inside a rinse, fill and cap monobloc. A separate soaker adds floor space and caustic you do not need.

You wash plastic bottles to recycle them into flakes.

A PET bottle recycling wash line, which shreds and washes material rather than cleaning bottles for refilling.
