Industrial herb grinder from China

Most machines sold as industrial herb grinders are pulverisers built for powder, and a buyer who needs a coarse grind for pre-rolls or extraction gets the wrong particle, extra heat and a throughput figure measured on a different product.

Written and listings checked 30 September 2026. Every figure on this page names its source.

What you are actually comparing.

Two quotes, one machine name

What hides inside the price
01

Pulveriser or shredder

A pulveriser spins beaters against a fine screen and makes powder. A flower shredder cuts slowly to a coarse, even grind. Know which the listing is before comparing prices.

02

Screen size and output

Output falls steeply as the screen gets finer. Ask for the throughput at your screen size, on dried flower, not the headline figure.

03

Heat in the chamber

Fast rotors warm the material, more so at finer grinds, and warm flower gets sticky. Ask whether the chamber is water cooled and for the temperature rise at your grind.

04

Blade and beater steel

Ask for the steel grade of blades and beaters, the expected hours before regrinding, and the price of a spare set.

05

Dust capture

Ask whether a cyclone and filter bag are included, and how the outlet connects to your extraction.

02

Before you ask for a price.

Send these with the enquiry. Without them, any number a factory gives you is a guess dressed as a quotation.

03

Turn the claim into a demonstration.

Require thisA pass looks like
Grind a weighed batch of your dried flower, or a hemp stand-in, at your screen size for a timed run.Kilograms an hour meet the contract figure at that screen, and a sieve test shows the agreed share of the output inside your target size.
Measure the material temperature at the outlet at the start and after thirty minutes. The rise stays under the figure written in the contract, and the output is not sticky or clumped.
Strip the chamber and clean it after the run.Blades and screen come out without special tools, and cleaning takes no longer than quoted.

04

The documents that must arrive with it.

The one people forget. Your dust explosion assessment. Fine plant dust can form an explosive atmosphere; if your risk assessment finds a zone, equipment in it must meet ATEX 2014/34/EU. Ask before you order.

Named, not hedged
01

You need powder finer than a pulveriser gives, for capsules or tablets.

An air classifier mill or ultrafine pulveriser, which separates by particle size as it grinds.

02

You fill pre-rolls and grind a few kilograms a day.

A batch flower shredder made for pre-roll grind. It keeps the fluffy texture a pulveriser destroys.

06

Where the numbers come from.

We name the kind of source, how many and when, and never the factory. Listed prices are asking prices, not landed cost. Where we do not hold a fact we say so: that is a GAP, not an estimate.

07

Every machine we source in this area is on the Cannabis & hemp page. How a project runs, stage by stage, is on how it works, and what it costs is on pricing.

Straight answers

Questions buyers ask about this machine.

Chinese vs European industrial herb grinder: what differs?+

Chinese pulverisers dominate the listings and many are simple, sturdy machines. Differences sit in blade steel, cooling, dust capture and documents. Test on your flower.

What goes on an industrial herb grinder inspection checklist?+

Throughput and particle size at your screen, temperature rise, blade condition, lid interlock, earthing, and manual language.

What CE documentation and EU compliance does it need?+

A Declaration of Conformity and technical file under the machinery rules, whatever the crop. Whether you may run this machine, and on what material, depends on the licence your business holds where the machine will be used.

Who is the EU importer?+

Usually you. Your name and address go on the machine or its documents.
