Most cone filling machines on the market look identical and carry the same asking price, so the real difference, how evenly one shaking cycle packs a full tray of cones, only shows up when your own material is in it.

What hides inside the price

Vibration, bounce or rotary action

A vibrating table packs loose material downward. A bounce action moves the tray vertically and is sold as packing the crutch end better. Ask for a density check near the filter.

Tray size and cone formats

Listings name 100-cone trays and lengths such as 70, 84, 98 and 109 mm or 78 and 110 mm. Each length needs its own tray and funnel set. Count how many sets are in the price.

Cycle time and what it includes

Cones per hour depends on seconds per cycle plus loading empty cones and unloading full ones. A filler that shakes fast but takes minutes to load is a slow filler.

Controls and repeatability

Ask whether intensity and duration are set on a dial or stored as a numbered program. A stored program lets a second operator repeat the first operator's density.

Build and spare parts

The vibration motor and tray clamps take the wear. Ask for the motor make and a spare tray price.

Send these with the enquiry. Without them, any number a factory gives you is a guess dressed as a quotation.

Cone length, paper type and filter tip, and whether you use more than one size.
Target weight per cone and how you check it today.
Grind size and moisture, because vibration sorts fine particles to the bottom.
Filled cones you need per day, and how many people load trays.
Supply voltage and plug type for your country, stated in writing.

Film one full tray cycle with your material, then weigh ten cones from the corners and ten from the centre.	Corner and centre cones inside the same weight tolerance, with both averages recorded.
Cut open five filled cones along their length after the cycle.	Material packed to the filter with no void at the crutch end.
Time ten complete cycles including loading and unloading.	The measured cones per hour is the number written into the contract.

EU Declaration of Conformity with model and serial number, citing 2006/42/EC until 19 January 2027, then Regulation (EU) 2023/1230.
Low voltage 2014/35/EU and EMC 2014/30/EU references, since this is a small electrical machine.
A manual with the program settings and the tray change procedure in your language.

The one people forget. The parts list with motor and controller part numbers. Without it a failed vibration motor means waiting for the original factory.
