Hemp biomass dryer from China

A dryer rated in kilograms per hour may count wet hemp going in or dry hemp coming out, and at listed hemp moisture levels those figures differ by a factor of about four, which decides whether it keeps up with harvest.

What hides inside the price

Rating basis

Get wet kilograms in per hour at a stated moisture and dry kilograms out at a stated end moisture. Better, ask for water evaporated per hour.

Dryer type

Mesh belt, rotary drum or batch tray. Belts are gentler on flower; drums suit chopped biomass for extraction and run hotter.

Heat source

Listings offer electric, gas, diesel, steam and biomass burners. Running cost and permits change with the choice.

Temperature control and logging

Zone air temperature and an exportable log. Overheating strips volatiles extraction buyers pay for.

Before you ask for a price.

Send these with the enquiry. Without them, any number a factory gives you is a guess dressed as a quotation.

Wet tonnes per harvest day and the moisture at intake.
Target end moisture for storage or extraction.
Chop length or whole plant, since belt loading depends on it.
Heat source available on site and any emission limits.
Footprint and height of the building, since belt dryers run long.

Declaration of Conformity under 2006/42/EC, or Regulation (EU) 2023/1230 from 20 January 2027.
Burner and gas documents for the country of use, where fuel fired.
Low Voltage 2014/35/EU and EMC 2014/30/EU coverage for fans and controls.

Arithmetic1,000 kg at 80 percent moisture holds 200 kg dry matter. At 12 percent out, 200 / 0.88 = 227 kg. 1,000 / 227 = about 4.4.

Can I dry hemp with it legally?+

Whether you may run this machine, and on what material, depends on the licence your business holds where the machine will be used. EU industrial hemp must come from Common Catalogue varieties with a 0.3 percent THC cultivation limit under Regulation (EU) 2021/2115.
