Tire shredding machine from China

Steel wire in the tyre is what wears a tire shredding machine down and what spoils the rubber you sell, and most listings we checked did not mention the wire at all.

Written and listings checked 1 October 2026. Every figure on this page names its source.

01

What you are actually comparing.

Two quotes, one machine name

What hides inside the price
01

Primary shredder for whole tyres

A double shaft shredder cuts whole tyres into strips or chips. Ask the largest tyre it takes whole, and whether truck tyres need cutting first.

02

Steel wire separation

Chips still hold bead and belt wire. Ask how the wire is freed, how many magnet stages follow, and how much steel is left in the rubber. Crumb buyers set a limit, and rubber over it sells for less or not at all.

03

Crumb and powder stages

Rubber crumb needs a rasper or granulator after the shredder, and powder needs a mill. Ask which stages are in the offer.

04

Blade material and regrinding

Wire blunts blades fast. Ask the blade steel, hardness, whether they can be reground and how many times, and the price of one full set. Blades are the running cost that decides whether the business pays.

05

Fibre removal

Textile cord comes out as fluff. Ask whether an air separator removes it and where it goes.

02

Before you ask for a price.

Send these with the enquiry. Without them, any number a factory gives you is a guess dressed as a quotation.

03

Turn the claim into a demonstration.

Require thisA pass looks like
Shred a weighed load of your own tyres, including your largest.Measured tonnes per hour at or above the offer, with the largest tyre fed whole or cut as agreed.
Weigh the steel and rubber fractions from the batch.Steel left in the rubber below the limit your buyer set, checked by sample.
Measure blade edges before and after the run.Wear recorded so you can price blades per tonne of tyres.

04

The documents that must arrive with it.

The one people forget. The fire protection description for the rubber store and the dust filter. Rubber dust and chips burn, and your insurer will ask before it covers the hall.

Named, not hedged
01

Tyres are a small share of mixed bulky waste.

An industrial recycling shredder built for mixed input.

02

You only need rubber-free plastic regrind.

A recycling granulator, which cannot cope with steel wire.

06

Where the numbers come from.

We name the kind of source, how many and when, and never the factory. Listed prices are asking prices, not landed cost. Where we do not hold a fact we say so: that is a GAP, not an estimate.

07

Related machines.

Every machine we source in this area is on the Recycling page. How a project runs, stage by stage, is on how it works, and what it costs is on pricing.

Straight answers

Questions buyers ask about this machine.

Chinese vs European tire shredding machine: what should I compare?+

Blade steel, wire separation and steel left in the rubber. Shred the same tyres on both and weigh the fractions.

What is on a tire shredder inspection checklist?+

Largest tyre fed, timed run, weighed fractions, blade wear, magnet stages, fibre removal, guarding and emergency stops.

What CE documents come with a tyre recycling line?+

One Declaration of Conformity for the assembled line, a manual in your language and the electrical drawings.

Who is the EU importer of a tire shredder?+

You, when buying direct. Handling end-of-life tyres on your site needs a permit, and that is your matter as operator.
