A heated dryer turns waste into a dry, lighter mass. A screw press squeezes liquid out and leaves wet cake. Ask which process the offer is.

Heating method and energy per batch

Ask the heat source and measured energy per batch, not the heater rating.

Condensate and exhaust

Water leaves as vapour. Ask how it is condensed, where it drains, and what treats the smell.

Mixer, vessel and grinding

Ask the vessel steel, the mixer drive and whether bones and shells are ground or must be removed.
