Commercial embroidery machine from China

For a promotional or merchandise shop, an embroidery machine earns its money on caps, polos, bags and patches in runs of a few pieces, so the cap frame, the digitising software and the time per logo matter more than head count, and listings rarely show any of them.

What you are actually comparing.

Two quotes, one machine name

What hides inside the price
01

Cap frame and cap driver

Caps are the core of merch embroidery. A cap driver turns the curved front under the needle. Ask whether it is included, which cap profiles it takes, and the stitch field on a cap.

02

Needles per head

Needles decide how many thread colours stay loaded. With 12 or 15 needles, most brand logos run without rethreading between orders.

03

Tubular and flat frames

Polos, bags, beanies and jacket backs each need a frame. Count the hoop sizes quoted against what you sell, and price extra hoops before ordering.

04

Digitising software and file formats

Customers send logos, not stitch files. Ask whether digitising software is included and licensed, and which stitch file formats the controller reads.

05

Stitch speed on the job, not the brochure

Maximum speed applies to flat fabric and plain stitches. On caps and dense satin, operators slow down. Measure speed on your product.

02

Before you ask for a price.

Send these with the enquiry. Without them, any number a factory gives you is a guess dressed as a quotation.

03

Turn the claim into a demonstration.

Sew your own logo on your own structured cap, then on a pique polo, on live video. No puckering on the polo, no distortion on the cap curve, outlines aligned with fills.
Run ten caps back to back with a timer.Time per cap within what the offer implies at the stated speed, plus frame changes.
Trigger a thread break mid-design.The machine stops, and after rethreading resumes in the right place without a gap.

04

The documents that must arrive with it.

The one people forget. The software licence. Many machines ship with a copied digitising package, and an unlicensed copy leaves you unable to update it or to prove you own it.

When this is the wrong machine.

Buy something else if

Named, not hedged
01

You run long orders of one garment and need identical pieces from many heads.

A multi-head machine chosen as a garment production line, covered on the textile garment embroidery page.

02

Customers want photographic full-colour logos on shirts.

A DTG printer or DTF transfers; embroidery suits solid colour marks.

06

Where the numbers come from.

We name the kind of source, how many and when, and never the factory. Listed prices are asking prices, not landed cost. Where we do not hold a fact we say so: that is a GAP, not an estimate.

Every machine we source in this area is on the Printing & signage page. How a project runs, stage by stage, is on how it works, and what it costs is on pricing.

Straight answers

European and Japanese brands sell service networks and resale value. A Chinese single head suits a shop that can service hooks and timing itself.

Cap driver fitted, hoops counted, a timed cap run, a thread-break restart, trimming, the software licence and the head serial plate.

What CE documentation does an embroidery machine need?+

A declaration citing machinery law, low voltage and EMC, a CE mark on the machine, and a manual in your language.

Who is the EU importer when I buy direct?+

You are. You check the documents, add your name and address, and keep the declaration.
