Meat strip cutting machine from China

Strip cutters are rated on soft, chilled, boneless meat, and the temperature and firmness of your own meat decide whether you get clean strips or torn, uneven ones.

Written and listings checked 30 September 2026. Every figure on this page names its source.

01

What you are actually comparing.

Two quotes, one machine name

What hides inside the price
01

Fresh, chilled or tempered frozen

One listing rules out frozen meat entirely; another says it cuts fresh and frozen. Give the core temperature your meat will be at when it enters the machine.

02

Blade comb or blade set

Strip width is set by the spacing of circular blades on a shaft. Each width is its own blade set. Ask how many sets come with the machine and what a spare set costs.

03

Slice then strip, or strip only

Some machines slice to thickness and cut strips in one pass; others need meat already sliced. Jerky treats need both.

04

How capacity is stated

One listing states kilograms per hour, another pieces per minute. Convert both to your strip size before comparing.

05

Blade sharpening and wear

Dull blades tear fibres and leave strips joined. Ask how the blades are sharpened, by whom, and after how many tonnes.

02

Before you ask for a price.

Send these with the enquiry. Without them, any number a factory gives you is a guess dressed as a quotation.

03

Turn the claim into a demonstration.

Require thisA pass looks like
Your meat, at your infeed temperature, cut at the quoted width and thickness for fifteen minutes.Twenty strips measured with a calliper, all inside your written thickness and width tolerance.
Output weighed over those fifteen minutes.Kilograms cut, multiplied by four, at or above the contracted hourly rate.
Blade set changed from one width to another by one operator. The new width cutting to tolerance within the time stated in the offer, with guards back in place.

04

The documents that must arrive with it.

The one people forget. Blade set drawings. When the only source of a new blade set is the original factory, your line waits on a shipment from China every time a width changes.

05

When this is the wrong machine.

Buy something else if

Named, not hedged
01

Your meat arrives as frozen blocks you cannot temper.

A frozen block flaker or a slicer rated for frozen meat, before any strip cutter.

02

You need minced or ground meat for a paste or a wet food.

A meat grinder or bowl cutter, then a pet food mixer.

06

Where the numbers come from.

We name the kind of source, how many and when, and never the factory. Listed prices are asking prices, not landed cost. Where we do not hold a fact we say so: that is a GAP, not an estimate.

Every machine we source in this area is on the Pet food page. How a project runs, stage by stage, is on how it works, and what it costs is on pricing.

Straight answers

Questions buyers ask about this machine.

Chinese vs European meat strip cutting machine: what is the trade?+

Blade quality and the precision of the shaft spacing. A cheaper frame with blades bought in Europe can work; blades that tear raise waste on every shift.

What goes on a meat strip cutting machine inspection checklist?+

Blade material, number of blade sets, belt material, interlocks on every cover over a blade, easy removal for cleaning, and a cut test on your meat at your temperature.

Which EU rules apply to a meat strip cutter used for pet treats?+

Machinery and electrical rules apply to the machine. Your business is bound by feed hygiene under Regulation (EC) 183/2005 and, because the input is raw meat, by the animal by-products rules in Regulation (EC) 1069/2009. Ask your competent authority what approval your plant needs.

Who is the EU importer?+

The business placing the cutter on the EU market, often you. The importer's name goes on the machine or papers.
