What hides inside the price

Probe diameter and amplitude

A small tip concentrates energy in a small volume; a large tip spreads it thinner. Ask the amplitude for each probe offered.

Batch probe, flow cell or non-contact

A flow cell treats liquid pumped past the tip, for continuous work. Non-contact units treat sealed tubes.

Tip wear

Cavitation erodes the tip. Ask whether tips are replaceable and their price.

Heat in the sample

Sonication heats the liquid. Ask for pulse mode and a temperature cut-off.

Sound enclosure

It is loud. Ask whether a sound box fits your vessel.

Log sample temperature through the whole run.	Temperature stays below your limit throughout the run.
Inspect the tip before and after a long run on your product.	Tip wear within what the supplier states, with no metal flakes in the sample.

EU Declaration of Conformity naming 2014/35/EU and 2014/30/EU, and machinery rules where they apply.
Material certificate for the probe, and Regulation (EC) 1935/2004 declarations if the product is food.
Manual with the noise level and advice on hearing protection.

The one people forget. A tip life figure on a product like yours. Without it, spare tips become an open running cost.
