Dough divider machine from China

A dough divider cuts by volume, not by weight, so the weight you get depends on how your dough compresses, and a divider that is accurate on a firm bun dough can miss badly on a wet one.

What you are actually comparing.

Two quotes, one machine name

What hides inside the price
01

Divider type

Hydraulic press dividers cut a whole batch into equal parts at once. Volumetric star-wheel or piston dividers run continuously. The first suits small bakeries; the second feeds a line.

02

Weight range per row

Each machine has a minimum and maximum piece. Rows times strokes gives pieces per hour only inside that range. Ask the range at your weight, not the machine's widest range.

03

Oil or oil-free

Many piston dividers use divider oil to stop sticking. Oil-free machines use coated chambers. Oil use is a running cost and changes the crust.

04

Rounding

Some machines divide and round together; others only divide and need a conical or drum rounder after. Check which is in the price.

05

Chamber and drum material

Listings mention coated stainless hoppers and aluminium drums. Ask what the coating is and how long it lasts before recoating.

02

Before you ask for a price.

Send these with the enquiry. Without them, any number a factory gives you is a guess dressed as a quotation.

03

Turn the claim into a demonstration.

Require thisA pass looks like
Divide your wettest dough at your lightest piece weight and weigh a counted sample from every row.All pieces inside your weight tolerance, every row matching.
Repeat with your firmest dough at your heaviest weight.Same tolerance held without adjusting the machine between samples beyond the weight setting.
Run a full hopper and check the dough after dividing. No torn surface, no dough stuck in chambers, rounding closed on every piece.

04

The documents that must arrive with it.

The one people forget. The food contact declaration for the chamber coating. It wears into the dough over time, and an auditor will ask what it is.

When this is the wrong machine.

Named, not hedged
01

Your dough is above the water content range the divider is sold for.

A low-stress divider designed for high-hydration dough, new or used European, or dividing by hand with a scale.

02

You make a few hundred pieces a day.

A manual or hydraulic press divider. A continuous divider only pays on a steady line.

06

Where the numbers come from.

We name the kind of source, how many and when, and never the factory. Listed prices are asking prices, not landed cost. Where we do not hold a fact we say so: that is a GAP, not an estimate.

Straight answers

Questions buyers ask about this machine.

Chinese vs European dough divider machine: what is the real gap?+

Chamber finish, gentleness on wet dough, and parts supply. For firm bun and pizza doughs a Chinese volumetric divider can be enough if it passes your weight test.

What should a dough divider inspection checklist include?+

Serial number against the declaration, rows and weight range against the offer, guard interlocks at the knife and drum, and your doughs weighed at both weight limits.

What CE documentation comes with a dough divider?+

A Declaration of Conformity under the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC until 19 January 2027, then the Machinery Regulation (EU) 2023/1230, with 2014/35/EU and 2014/30/EU. Ask about hygienic design to EN 1672-2; do not accept it as a claim.

Who is the EU importer of a dough divider?+

The company placing it on the EU market, named on the machine or documents, which checks the conformity file. Buying direct, that is you.
