What hides inside the price

Valves and edge control

Needle, film and spray valves give different edge sharpness. Ask how many valves are fitted and how close to a keep-out zone each can stop.

Coating material fit

Acrylic, silicone, urethane and UV-cure coatings differ in viscosity. Ask which your valves are set for, and whether the supplier has run your material.

Curing: what is included

Three of fourteen listings we checked were only UV lamps or curing conveyors. Ask whether the price covers the coater, the oven or UV tunnel, or both.

Vapour and extraction

Solvent coatings give off flammable vapour. Ask the extraction airflow required and whether the supplier assessed the booth under ATEX 2014/34/EU.

EU Declaration of Conformity citing 2006/42/EC, or Regulation (EU) 2023/1230 for delivery from 20 January 2027, plus Low Voltage 2014/35/EU and EMC 2014/30/EU.
Manual in your language with valve settings per material and cleaning steps.
Extraction and, where relevant, explosive atmosphere documentation.

The one people forget. The valve cleaning procedure. Coating cures inside a neglected valve, and a blocked valve on a Monday morning stops the line.

Brushing or dipping by hand with masking, which costs far less.

You need potting or thick encapsulation, not a thin film.
