The bag decides the machine: a flat double-chamber bag with thread, tag and envelope, a pyramid mesh bag and a plain round bag each need a different machine, and a buyer who picks on price before fixing the bag often cannot make the pack they planned.

Some machines fix thread and tag with a small metal staple, others knot or heat-seal it. Staples raise a metal detection question with retail buyers. Ask which method and whether both are offered.
Double-chamber bags usually use non heat-seal paper folded and crimped; pillow bags use heat-seal paper. The paper you can buy locally may decide the machine.
Volumetric cups suit fine, even tea dust. Larger leaf, flowers and herbal blends bridge and vary; they may need a weigher. One listing gave its dose as a maximum volume, not a weight.
Envelopes protect aroma and carry print. Ask whether the envelope station and counting into boxes are included, since boxing by hand can be the slowest step.

Send these with the enquiry. Without them, any number a factory gives you is a guess dressed as a quotation.

| Make a counted run of your bag with your tea, paper and tags at target speed. | Every bag closed, thread and tag attached, no leaf escaping, envelopes sealed and printed in register. |
| Weigh every bag from the run. | All bags inside your declared tolerance, spread recorded, not averaged. |
| Brew sample bags and pull the tag firmly. | Bags hold in hot water without bursting and no tag separates from its thread. |

We name the kind of source, how many and when, and never the factory. Listed prices are asking prices, not landed cost. Where we do not hold a fact we say so: that is a GAP, not an estimate.

Every machine we source in this area is on the Coffee & tea page. How a project runs, stage by stage, is on how it works, and what it costs is on pricing.
