What hides inside the price

Head count and hopper size

Mini multihead weighers use ten or fourteen small hoppers. Too large and one bud swings the combination; too small and buds bridge at the gate.

Contact surfaces for resin

Resin builds up on steel and changes how buds slide. Ask for dimpled or coated contact plates, and the cleaning time between strains.

Stated accuracy versus load-cell resolution

Some listings give load-cell resolution, others a pack accuracy or an OIML R61 class such as X(0.5). Resolution is what the cell reads; accuracy is how far a pack lands from target. Ask for accuracy, on flower.

Feed and gentleness

Hard-running feed pans break buds into shake. Ask how feed is set per product and whether drop height can be reduced.

What it discharges into

A weigher drops product into a chute. Jars or pouches need a table or bagger below, often quoted separately.

Send these with the enquiry. Without them, any number a factory gives you is a guess dressed as a quotation.

Pack weights you sell and the tolerance you will declare.
Your flower: bud size, moisture, stickiness. Send a sample if the rules allow it.
Container type, with samples and opening size.
Packs per hour across a shift, including strain changes.
Whether each weighment must be recorded for batch or tracking records.

Weigh a counted run of your flower at your smallest and largest pack weight, checking every pack on a separate calibrated scale.	Every pack at or above declared weight, with average giveaway recorded per size.
Run one hour without cleaning on your stickiest strain.	No bridging needing a hand, and giveaway at the end no worse than at the start.
Collect and weigh the shake from the run.	Breakage within the limit you set before the test.

The documents that must arrive with it.

EU Declaration of Conformity naming model and serial number, under 2006/42/EC or, from 20 January 2027, Regulation (EU) 2023/1230.
Load-cell calibration certificates and the on-site recalibration procedure.
Manual in the language of the country of use.

The one people forget. The metrology papers. If the weigher sets your declared weight, some member states treat it as an automatic weighing instrument under the Measuring Instruments Directive 2014/32/EU, and without that assessment it can be refused for trade use.

Many mini weighers share one combination-weigher design. Pick the one that proves giveaway and breakage on your flower, with metrology papers for your country. A used European weigher with valid verification can beat a new one.

What belongs on a flower weighing machine inspection checklist?+

The three demonstrations above, load cells checked with test weights, and a timed strain change.

Is a flower weighing machine EU compliant with a CE mark?+

A CE mark on a brochure proves nothing; you need the Declaration of Conformity and technical file. For declared-weight packs, Directive 76/211/EEC sets the average-content rules.

Can I import a flower weighing machine to the EU?+

The importer checks the documents and adds its name. Whether you may run this machine, and on what material, depends on the licence your business holds where the machine will be used. EU industrial hemp must come from Common Catalogue varieties, and Regulation (EU) 2021/2115 sets the 0.3 percent THC limit for its cultivation.
