01Toy grade or commercial grade
Ask whether the unit is sold as a toy or as coin-operated equipment, and for its declaration. A toy follows the Toy Safety Directive 2009/48/EC; a commercial unit follows electrical and machinery rules. They are not the same product.
02Coin acceptor
Toy units often take any token or no coin at all. Ask for a real coin acceptor set for euro coins, with a lockable cash box.
03Power supply
Ask whether power comes through an external adapter, and for the adapter's own declaration. A cheap adapter is often the part that fails.
04Claw strength setting
Ask whether claw strength is fixed or adjustable. An adjustable payout setting raises the same prize rule question as a full-size claw machine, and the licence question is yours.
