Printer and media
Ask the printer model, print size, and where media rolls are bought. A printer whose media is only sold in China stops the booth when stock runs out.

The hard part is what happens after the photo: the printer needs media you can buy in Europe, and every stored or uploaded image of a face makes you responsible under data protection law.

01
Ask the printer model, print size, and where media rolls are bought. A printer whose media is only sold in China stops the booth when stock runs out.
Ask who owns the booth software, whether it needs a yearly licence or cloud account, and whether templates and languages can be edited by you.
Ask where images are stored, for how long, and whether QR downloads go through a server abroad. Under GDPR, Regulation (EU) 2016/679, you as operator must know and control this.
Ask the camera type, whether lighting is fixed or adjustable, and whether the enclosure is closed with a curtain or open-air.
02
Send these with the enquiry. Without them, any number a factory gives you is a guess dressed as a quotation.
03
| Require this | A pass looks like |
|---|---|
| Run a full session with your payment device and print the result. | Payment, capture and print complete, and the print matches the screen preview. |
| Run the printer to the end of a media roll. | The booth stops taking payment before the roll ends, not after. |
| Ask the supplier to show where a captured image is stored and delete it. | Stored location and retention are shown in the settings, and deletion works. |

05
Buy a booth built and certified for the ID photo rules of your country. A fun booth is not accepted for documents.
Buy a claw machine or basketball arcade machine.
06
We name the kind of source, how many and when, and never the factory. Listed prices are asking prices, not landed cost. Where we do not hold a fact we say so: that is a GAP, not an estimate.
07
Every machine we source in this area is on the Vending & arcade page. How a project runs, stage by stage, is on how it works, and what it costs is on pricing.
Straight answers
Judge printer media supply and software ownership first. A European booth often uses media sold locally.
Printer model and media source, end-of-roll behaviour, software licence, image storage settings, payment and importer details.
A Declaration of Conformity for low voltage, EMC and, with wireless, radio law, plus an EN 60335-2-82 report and technical file.
The EU business that first places it on the market, usually you. Your name goes on the booth or its papers.
